What your line gets from a single-grade lot.

Consistent kernels make coating, roasting and pack fill predictable.

  • One size per lot

A lot is one sieve grade, never blended, so seasoning load and pack count stay consistent from batch to batch.

  • A low-moisture option

15–18 mm and larger grades can be specified at ≤ 4.5% moisture, measured at intake and again at dispatch.

  • Lab results before you receive it

Microbiology on every lot of 18 mm and above; aflatoxin on a rotating sample, or every lot on request; pesticide residues on request.

  • A lot ID for your batch records

Every bag carries the lot ID, and the retained sample from that lot is held for 12 months.

What brand and co-packer teams ask us.

Do you pack retail units under our brand?

Our standard offer is graded, plain popped makhana in bulk, for your own line or your co-packer. Tell us your pack format in the enquiry and we will say in writing what we can and cannot supply.

Which grade works best for flavoured makhana?

APEDA describes 12–15 mm (4 suta) as the economical grade widely used in flavouring and 15–18 mm (5 suta) as the regular snacking grade. Larger 18–21 mm (6 suta) kernels suit premium plain and roasted packs. A sample kit lets you test coating and breakage on your own process.

Can you hold a moisture limit for our shelf-life target?

The standard limit is ≤ 7%. Grades of 15 mm and above can be ordered on the low-moisture specification of ≤ 4.5%, checked with a calibrated meter at intake and again at dispatch.

Which lab reports arrive with each lot?

Size distribution, moisture, unpopped, broken and foreign matter on every lot. Microbiology from an NABL-accredited laboratory on every lot of 18 mm and above, aflatoxin on a rotating sample or per lot on request, and pesticide multi-residue on request.

Can a consumer complaint be traced back to the lot?

Yes. The lot ID on every bag links to a record running from the pond cluster through popping and grading to dispatch, and we hold a retained sample from each lot for 12 months.
